Several years ago, the Lord gave me the desire to expand our ministry to include a renewal center for people that are in Christian service. Through the years of our ministry, we have met hundreds of pastors and families that are in need of love and support, and need someone they can talk to that is not part of their ministry. According to Focus on The Family, 1500 pastors leave the ministry each month. Our desire is to provide a place where people in full time Christian service can go that is free of charge, has a stress free environment, and where they can receive rest and a renewed direction in their ministry.
So, this is our current plan:
- Phase one: Refurbish existing rooms on our home to be guest rooms. This phase is completed!
- Phase two: Refurbish existing living room to make a comfortable, inviting “common room” for our guests. This phase is completed, Praise the Lord!
- Phase three: Build a large log country inn (pictured above) with four separate suites. The home will include a kitchen, dining room, great room, recreation room, library & computer room, music studio, and theater room. We want to provide three meals a day for all guests, if they choose to be at the house all day. This phase we are accepting donations for.
- Phase four: Build several one room cabins for guests in our woods. Meals would still be obtained at the main house.
This is another step of faith for our ministry. Eagles Rest is a major project. We have the property, but there is site work that needs to be done before construction can begin. We need financial support, and we are hoping to receive donations of materials and labor. Also, we are looking for an experienced grant writer to help us apply for grants. Let us know if there is any way that you can assist us with this important project.
Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. I Peter 4:9
It is our hope that this spacious country inn would allow ministers and their families the opportunity to re-connect with their faith and stay connected to their calling.
But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Is 40:31
We can not do this alone. God must be the foundation of our building.
Unless the LORD builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Ps 127:1
Would you join us to make this a reality?
Serve one another in love. Gal. 5:13
Together, let us encourage those on the front lines serving Christ.

John
